Assignment Details: $3,402.00 per week

Location: Grass Valley, CA
Start Date: 4/1 (No, this is NOT an April Fool’s joke)
Duration: 7 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Days (Every Other Weekend)
Nights: Fri, Sat, Sun // Days: Sat, Sun
First to Float (but you’ll stay within L&D or MB—no unexpected field trips)

What We’re Looking For:

✔2 years L&D experience – You need to know your way around a delivery room.
✔Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, STABLE (we like our babies stable, too).
✔EMR: Cerner – If you’ve used it before, we love you already.
✔Independent & Strong in Emergencies: Night shifts have fewer resources—so if you thrive under pressure, you’ll fit right in!

Unit Details:

• Beds: L&D - 4, Mother-Baby - 8
• Ratios: L&D 1:2 (1:1 for active delivery), MB 1:4 (couplets)
• Deliveries: ~45/month (not your first rodeo, right?)
• High-risk patients? Nope! Moms <34 weeks get transferred.
• Common Cases: Term/preterm labor, couplets, GYN patients, newborns on IV antibiotics or short-term O2.

• Schedules posted 6 weeks in advance (No self-scheduling, but you can trade shifts).
• Bedside report (we keep it personal).
• 2-3 day floor orientation with a preceptor (we won’t throw you in blind).
• Closest sister hospital is an hour away (so be ready to handle things on-site!)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in labor and delivery settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform catheterization and IV insertion while monitoring fetal heart rates.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments, including tube feeding and airway management.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans, utilizing critical care experience when necessary.
• Maintain certifications in ACLS, NRP, and BLS to ensure high standards of care.
