Medical Laboratory Technician

Evolve Healthcare seeks qualified candidates for Medical Lab Tech position in Morton, WA

Responsibilities:

• Collect, prepare and label body fluid or tissue from patient to be used for various testing procedures.
• Test specimens, verifies results and accurately documents test results to comply with accepted standards and assure quality control.
• Perform proficiency tests as required to ensure accurate laboratory operation.
• Maintain documentation for reagents, controls, and equipment; and review and update procedures as necessary to further maintain the quality of care.
• Perform prescribed equipment maintenance and operation to ensure safety of equipment and adherence to established procedures.
• Interact cooperatively with others to ensure a safe and infection-free environment.
• Follow infection control procedures to ensure a safe and infection-free environment.
• Follow the policy on confidentiality to ensure the integrity of the department as well as the facility.
• Remain current in changes taking place within the laboratory; both regulatory and technological.
• Demonstrate the ability to work under high-stress and/or changing conditions
• - Perform laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and guidelines- Conduct ELISA assays and other laboratory techniques as required- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory proceduresRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology)
• - Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
• - Familiarity with medical terminology and physiology
• - Experience with RNA extraction and blood sampling techniques preferred
• - Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments
• - Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols accurately
• - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• - Performs chemical, microscopic, serologic, hematologic, immunohematologic, parasitic, and bacteriologic tests to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.

Shift: This position is dayshift Friday 7am-7:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 7am-7pm with 7pm-6:30 am Call on Sunday night
