Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room Unit to join our team for a 13-week contract in Calais, ME 04619 is ideal for professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care in a dynamic and culturally rich setting.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly assess patients' conditions upon arrival, prioritize care based on severity, and ensure timely treatment.
- Administer medications, perform life-saving interventions, and assist with procedures such as wound care, IV insertions, and intubations.
- Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs, document care provided, and communicate changes to the medical team.
- Work closely with doctors, technicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Provide clear instructions to patients and their families regarding post-emergency care, medications, and follow-up treatments.
- Ensure adherence to infection control standards, surgical protocols, and hospital policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Requirements:
- Active ME or compact state RN license
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
- Current certifications in BLS (required) and ACLS(required), PALS(required), NIHSS(required), TNCC(required).
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Adaptability to work flexible shifts as per facility requirements.
