Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including geriatrics, home community care, hospice care, and long-term care facilities. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care while promoting their comfort and well-being.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
- Conduct specimen collection processing for laboratory tests.
- Support pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
- Perform spinal taps and other specialized procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in geriatrics or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques.
- Experience with home community care or hospice care is a plus.
- Familiarity with infant care practices is desirable.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Knowledge of pain management techniques is beneficial.
