Key Responsibilities
As a Paralegal - Commercial Real Estate, you will : Prepare and review commercial and residential real estate purchase and sale closing documents.
Assist with the preparation and review of loan documents, including UCC Financing Statements.
Coordinate commercial and residential real estate transaction closings, including maintaining closing checklists, managing signature page packages, and preparing and reviewing settlement statements.
Order and review title and survey documents, prepare objection letters, memoranda, and escrow closing letters, and address title exceptions.
Gather and review due diligence materials, including zoning / government compliance letters, UCC / judgment searches, and entity authority documents.
Review and abstract UCC / judgment / lien search results and prepare related analyses.
Obtain and evaluate zoning reports and conduct zoning analyses.
Draft corporate documents such as consents, resolutions, and authority documents.
Conduct lease reviews and prepare lease abstracts.
Manage the filing and recording of documents, prepare closing binders, and address post-closing matters.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal Paralegal - Commercial Real Estate candidate will have : A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years as a real estate paralegal in a law firm.
Expertise in title and survey review, including handling title exceptions and preparing related correspondence.
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Superior communication and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Knowledge of legal terms and concepts to ensure the accuracy of legal documents and submissions.
