Electrical Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing - $75-110k (DOE)
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Arvada. This role involves significant hands-on work with electrical components, harnessing, and design. The ideal candidate will have a mix of both electrical and mechanical engineering skills, with a strong emphasis on harnessing and cabling.
Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and implement electrical components and systems.
- Create detailed work instructions and drawings for electrical cabling and harnessing.
- Conduct hands-on harnessing and cabling work, primarily with blue cabling.
- Read and interpret technical specifications for project execution.
- Collaborate with a team of 5-7 engineers, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
- Provide hybrid support for electrical design work when necessary.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a 4-year Electrical Engineering Technology degree).
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including college projects.
- Familiarity with harnessing certification IPC-J standards (space addendum is a plus).
- Knowledge of AIT, bus work, harnessing, and electrical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software and schematic creation.
- Experience with aerospace cabling and connectors.
- Strong technical writing skills for process and procedure development.
- US citizenship required due to federal contractor status.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience in soldering, SolidWorks, and electrical testing.
- Familiarity with airborne avionics systems, control systems, or power systems.
- Certification in harnessing (IPC-J standard, space addendum).
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site work in Arvada.
- Hybrid work possible during electrical design phases.
