Mechanisms Manager - R&D & Testing (Onsite)
Job Description: The Mechanisms Manager will oversee satellite mechanism subsystems for both R&D and recurring efforts, including engineering, design, analysis, assembly, and testing. This role requires innovation, creativity, teamwork, and leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site team for mechanisms GSE design and AI&T activities.
- Project planning and resource allocation.
- Guide team in mechanism designs and test plans.
- Develop and interpret design and test requirements.
- Ensure designs meet technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
- Perform trade studies and drive design considerations.
- Write Qualification and Acceptance Test Plans and Procedures.
- Manage prototyping and testing of mechanisms.
- Present technical and schedule status to management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- US citizen or permanent resident.
- 5 years of experience with mechanisms and GSE for deployable mechanisms.
- Experience in designing for manufacturing is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
