Quality Assurance / Control Manager

Position Overview:
A leading company in the industry is seeking a highly qualified Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of quality control and inspection within an AS9100/NADCAP-certified manufacturing environment. This role will involve managing and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Manager will also train and support personnel, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide QA and QC personnel.
- Develop, improve, and maintain quality systems and processes, ensuring the effectiveness of the QMS.
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and regulatory bodies on product quality, contractual compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
- Lead the corrective action system to address nonconforming products and processes, ensuring effectiveness.
- Assess and monitor supplier quality.
- Manage internal audit programs.
- Serve as the Management Representative for AS9100 and NADCAP accreditations.
- Support contract review processes.
- Collaborate with Operations and Program Management to ensure internal, industry, and customer specifications are met.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- BS degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience and certifications).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment.
- At least 10 years of related quality and manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of exposure/experience with AS9100.
- Experience with NADCAP is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and demonstrate competency with GD&T.
- Strong communication, presentation, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- The manufacturing facility may involve exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and other occupational hazards. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
- The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using hands and fingers for tasks. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
