We are looking for an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support the development and design of RF systems and subsystems for advanced satellite communications. This role requires full-time, onsite work at a dynamic and innovative facility in Florida. You will be responsible for system architecture design, performance optimization, and system validation to support high-impact projects within the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design RF systems and subsystems, including defining functional and performance requirements.
- Simulate and evaluate signal and power integrity for complex designs.
- Develop and execute validation procedures, including test code and prototype evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with system specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with hardware manufacturers to ensure high-quality component deliveries.
- Plan, support, and document test and measurement activities for prototypes.
- Maintain and support quality management system standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an RF Engineer in aerospace, satellite communications, or other relevant high-tech industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive experience in full end-to-end communications system design, including RF system architecture.
- Proficiency with high-speed ADC/DAC design, high-speed clocking chains, and link budget analysis.
- Strong understanding of RF communication parameters (e.g., SNR, Noise Figure, Return Loss, S-Parameters).
- Experience in analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog conversion and antenna design performance analysis.
- Familiarity with RF simulation and analysis tools (e.g., HFSS, AWR Microwave Office, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of DSP, modulation concepts, and software-defined radios (SDRs).
- Experience with RF test equipment, such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog), Linux, and programming languages such as C and Python.
- Knowledge of industry standards (IPC, CCSDS), and experience with continuous improvement processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
