RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop methods and set up and carry out a variety of experiments, analyses and tests that support plant product and raw material trials, quality initiatives, plant process optimization and quality improvements or RCAs. Operate standard and specialized equipment involved in the QA and PRT laboratory in support of these activities. Support new process laboratory studies.
- Record data and observations and keep up-to-date legal notebook. Report unusual results or equipment operation to direct supervisor.
- Make arithmetic and simple algebraic calculations and perform statistical analysis to help develop experimental designed to carry out process studies.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment used to carry out analyses and tests as defined in 1. Report break-downs and arrange for servicing. Maintain equipment logbook which includes but not limited to trouble shooting, calibration records and inventory of supplies. Properly maintain control chart and calibration records for lab equipment for activities as define in 1.
- Perform daily safety responsibilities and maintain high level of safety standards in the lab by doing but not limited to (1) safety review of new process before conduction experiment, (2) safety review of chemicals prior to procurement & use, and (3) actively participate in monthly laboratory meetings and CLI area audits.
