RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and maintain inventory of all parts and materials required for shop assemblies, fabrication, and standard Bill of Materials (BOM) supply.
- Develop a list of preferred vendors in order to obtain optimal equipment pricing and lead times.
- Obtain equipment quotes for shop personnel and engineers, as well as technicians and engineers in business segments serviced through the Technical Services department.
- Participate in all department and business segment meetings regarding inventories and equipment that is shipped to and from the Tonawanda fabrication shop.
- Prepare paperwork for LTL shipments including Bill of Ladings and customs documents.
- Organize shipments for FTL and courier shipments as necessary.
- Paperwork preparation will include shipments to and from the Tech Services shop.
- Ensure that projects in SAP are opened, modified, and closed as necessary.
- Maintain the list of projects in SAP.
- Ensure that invoices are coded properly in SAP and submitted for payment in a timely manner.
- Follow up with Accounts Payable as necessary when invoices are lost or not paid.
- Generate Work Orders for equipment and project requests received from internal businesses and external customers to be executed by shop technicians.
- Manage open Work Orders and close out appropriately upon completion.
- Receive Bill of Materials submitted by internal businesses and external customers and communicate time expectancy and any concerns for delivery.
- Facilitate the ordering of parts and equipment, including :
- Ordering of parts for field equipment replacement, technician safety equipment, and miscellaneous supplies.
- Ordering and delivery of parts for field service technician inventory.
- Managing specified equipment inventories through Stores in SAP.
