Responsibilities
- Participate in and support IT/Business projects providing technical guidance for tools and methods related mostly but not limited to File Services and Backup Technologies.
- Responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle management, including the installation, operation, monitoring, and decommissioning of File Servers and Backup Servers.
- Develop, maintain, and refine Concept Documents and Operations processes.
- Keep up with the latest technology and industry trends by continuously learning, attending important conferences, and connecting with thought leaders.
- Build test environments and conduct tests regarding functionality, practicality, and performance of Windows server standards and underlying tools and features (on-premises and in-cloud)
- Support problem management with root cause analysis and implementation of adequate solution measures.
- Manage and coordinate vendors and contractors in the scope of provider management activities.
- Automation of tasks and activities
- Continuous improvement of availability, quality, and efficiency of existing system solutions
- Participate in the rotating shift for 2nd/3rd level On-Call duty support.
- Lead, Participate, Contribute to Incident/Major Incident/Problem management activities.
- Actively share expertise in the Group and maintain continuous contact with the customers of the systems and areas within scope.
- Occasional outside-office-hour works for global meeting and maintenance work.
- This position requires a BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degree and 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge / experience in File Service and Backup Technologies in required.
- Knowledge / experience on Microsoft Azure Solutions or similar is required.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or comparable / related certifications are a plus
- Server and Storage Hardware knowledge is a plus
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is required.
- Scripting knowledge such as PowerShell is a plus.
- Any other IT infrastructure certificates and/or experiences such as Storage, Network are a plus.
- Experience with IT Disaster Recovery for Server Infrastructure.
- Project management and/or provider management capabilities will be a plus.
- Capable of making decisions based on given standard operation manuals, procedures, compliance and security considerations.
- Fluent in English, enabling clear communication in diverse professional settings.
- Capable of clear and effective self-directed communication, providing technical guidance, sharing ideas, prompting action, and developing strategies and policies as needed.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, to support our global operations and initiatives.
- Adaptability to thrive in a hybrid work model, effectively balancing remote and in-office responsibilities to meet dynamic organizational needs.
