Microbiologist

Company Overview:

EVOQ Nano is a leading research organization specializing in microbiology, with a focus on pathogen testing, antimicrobial solutions, and material interactions. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Microbiologist to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Microbiologist at EVOQ Nano, you will be working in a BSL-2 lab, conducting various tests on pathogens, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

· Perform laboratory testing to evaluate how pathogens respond to antimicrobial solutions on various materials, including polymers.

· Conduct Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Biofilm Inhibitory Concentration (BIC) testing.

· Establish and maintain a BSL-2 laboratory, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.

· Author and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to laboratory operations, safety protocols, and testing methods.

· Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, data and results.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research projects and product development.

· Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, and related fields.

· Participate in laboratory safety training and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.

· At least 3-5 years of experience working in a BSL-2 laboratory, with a focus on pathogen testing and antimicrobial research.

· Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining a BSL-2 lab.

· Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

· Experience in authoring and reviewing SOPs.

· Proficiency with laboratory techniques and equipment used in microbiology and antimicrobial testing.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on specific projects.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
