As a downstream process design scientist/engineer, you will join a fast-paced, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team to develop purification processes for low-cost biotherapeutic manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Assist in development of purification processes for biotherapeutics manufacturing
- Support late-stage development activities, including process characterization and validation studies
- Assist in the transfer of processes to clinical and commercial manufacturing facilities
- Technology development to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of purification processes
- BS or MS degree in Engineering, Biochemistry or related field and 0-5 years of experience
- Knowledgeable in chromatography and filtration theory, downstream development, buffer compounding and scale-up strategy
- Excellent experimental design and analysis skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with chromatography operations including using AKTA systems
- Experience with filtration operation including executing bench-scale dead-end filtration, viral filtration, UF/DF, and depth filtration
- Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and analysis using statistical software packages (JMP, MATLAB, etc.)
- Experience with multi column chromatography
- Experience with continuous and connected processing
