Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Custodian. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of two facilities. This position involves performing routine cleaning tasks, ensuring proper waste disposal, restocking supplies, and contributing to the overall maintenance and safety of the premises. Additionally, you may be tasked to perform additional errands for the CEO and COO of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of trash in accordance with established procedures.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary toiletries.
- Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other consumables as needed.
- Report maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures or equipment, to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other custodial staff and facility management team members to coordinate cleaning activities.
- Monitor and report any security concerns or unauthorized individuals on the premises.
- Adhere to safety standards and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform occasional tasks as assigned, such as moving furniture, setting up for events, or assisting with special projects.
- Other Duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
The Custodian will primarily work indoors, and the position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals. The role may require occasional weekend, holiday, or evening work to accommodate facility needs.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
Salary : $16 - $20
