Title: Network Engineer
Location: Midtown West, NY (5 days on-site)
Terms: Full-time
Salary: $90k – 100k performance bonus
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team and support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco enterprise infrastructure. This hands-on role requires expertise in converged networks, wireless systems, and building technologies within a Cisco environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance across a multi-layered Cisco environment.
- Support and maintain network security best practices, including firewalls, ACLs, and cyber-threat mitigation.
- Work with various network technologies such as MPLS, VRF, and VPC.
- Assist in VoIP/QoS deployment and ensure seamless communication across the network.
- Maintain and support Layer 1 (fiber, copper, RF), Layer 2, and Layer 3 network infrastructures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement best practices and support business needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Cisco network environments.
- Proficiency in switching, routing, and wireless technologies, particularly Cisco 9K, 7K, and 5K network fabrics.
- Hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, and access control policies.
- Working knowledge of VoIP, QoS, and network traffic optimization.
- Familiarity with network protocols and methodologies such as MPLS, VRF, VPC, VLAN tagging, Spanning Tree, and WAN technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNA certification (or working toward certification).
- Additional Cisco or CompTIA Network certifications are a plus.
- Experience working with Cisco Meraki technologies.
- Knowledge of IoT architectures, security protocols, and device integrations.
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls is a plus.
- Analytical and data-driven troubleshooting skills.
Education & Professional Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
