What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Warehouse Associate position at evTerra Recycling, LLC?
Summary: Under guidance of the Warehouse Lead, the e-Waste Driver/Warehouse Associate will pick up equipment received from clients for transportation to the warehouse to be sorted, refurbished, resold, or recycled and, when not driving, perform accurate equipment grading and sorting for distribution of equipment to appropriate department or vendors.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform daily vehicle inspection with mileage log for vehicle assigned, every day the vehicle is driven
- Document repairs needed on daily vehicle inspection forms
- Perform minor maintenance, as need
- Drive company vehicles to and from scheduled locations following all laws and safety standards
- Arrive at destination as scheduled
- Treat customers with courtesy and professionalism at all times
- Accept and/or decline equipment as per compliance standards
- Label containers and equipment per company standards and in compliance with standards
- Safeguard equipment against damage using best practices for loading and transportation
- Use proper data destruction protocol for protection of client information on hard drives
- Consistently record incoming equipment weights and other pertinent information in the asset tracking system
- Follow quarantine standards and documentation for non-conforming equipment
- Manually and mechanically move equipment
- Ensure vehicles are clean, refueled, and restocked daily
- Attend daily route meetings with Scheduling Coordinator
- Use, equipment, hand tools, personal protection, and compliance guidelines
- Ensure compliance standards, policies, procedures, and methods of production are followed
- Accurately grade and sort equipment, components, materials, and parts to compliance with standards
- Prepare sorted materials for distribution to various sources
- Report daily activity and production
As Needed Responsibilities:
- Assist with events
- Trash and cardboard removal
- Cleaning interior and/or exterior
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must complete a DOT physical and drug testing
- High attention to detail
- Great organization skills
- Self-motivated team player, able to work independently, work with a team and lead the team
- Understanding of computer hardware and peripherals, along with other electronic devices
- Ability to recognize electronics and components that have value
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and responsibly
- Awareness of safety practices and warehouse etiquette, always working toward safety of self and others

- Willingness and ability to learn
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, instructions, and procedures

- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
