Ewald Consulting’s Accounting Department maintains in-house financial data and performs all functions of a comprehensive accounting team’s responsibilities on behalf of clients. The Accounting Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the accounting function of a portfolio of clients.
The Accounting Manager will:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for clients
- Oversee tax returns and audits for clients
- Provide consultative guidance to clients on accounting and financial information
- Attend meetings with clients to provide financial information
- Advise account executives on client budgeting
- Proactively provides recommendations for improvements and/or expansion of current systems and practices
- Collaborate with team members on any issues or concerns regarding finance or accounting
- Train and mentor new Accounting staff
Required Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in an accounting role or industry
- Previous experience participating in client or volunteer teams
- Excellent customer service presence and mindset
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Experience and knowledge in QuickBooks
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other company departments and staff
- Previous experience working directly with a portfolio of clients
- An eye toward continuous improvement
- Flexible, patient, positive, and calm working demeanor
- A consultative mindset and approach to client service
- Experience working with non-profits
Office Environment:
- This position is considered hybrid, with regularly scheduled time in our office
- This position has no direct reports
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000, depending on experience.
