Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Structural Engineer to join a dynamic company and become lead in their new Tampa office. This role requires an experienced professional capable of managing all aspects of structural engineering for a diverse range of building projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in designing, developing, and overseeing structural engineering projects, ensuring both innovation and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for various building types including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Supervise a team of structural engineers and drafters, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
- Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineering specialists in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ensure all structural designs meet the requirements of relevant codes and regulations, particularly those specific to Florida.
- Perform structural analysis using both traditional and advanced techniques and software.
- Review and approve structural design documents and calculations.
- Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within cost constraints.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing high-level updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage in risk management, identifying potential design and engineering issues before they become problems.
- Continue professional development to stay current with industry trends and technological advancements.
