PACK RAT DRIVER – JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure customers are being serviced as scheduled in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure trucks and forklifts are being maintained properly and in accordance with Company procedures.
- Ensure proper maintenance of facility and storage units.
- Work overtime as needed to ensure customer transactions are completed.
- Assist in the loading and unloading trucks.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Perform vehicle pre-maintenance checks and report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles before and after route.
- Check the condition of the load and that it is securely fastened
- Maintain cleanliness of all trucks/workspace/ company equipment
- Warehouse duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – High School diploma required.
Experience
- Minimum 1-year customer service experience.
- Minimum 1-year route and/or warehouse experience preferred.
- Required Forklift Experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone number pad.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for up to two hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
- People skills, reliable, and customer-oriented
- Able to work well with others but also independently when required
- Punctual, reliable, and responsible
- Able to work 6 days per week, Monday through Saturday
- Able to begin work at 7:15 a. m. and work until the job is completed
- Able to read a map
- Required to wear company uniform
