What You'll Do

• Lead a specialized team to collect money from clients
• Oversee and manage the collection of outstanding credit balances to minimize loss
• Oversee and manage the distribution of client invoices to recover outstanding paid to patient funds
• Create strategies to increase successful collections on outstanding debt
• Run reports and analyze data on collections and share them with executive staff
• Implement credit policies and procedures to avoid excessive credit and maintain a smooth-running department
• Develop goals that complement the overarching business goals of the company
• Communicate clearly to clients about payments or documentation received
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including HIPAA and other payor guidelines
• Monitor and analyze team performance
• Work cross departmentally to ensure all funds are collected timely and reconciled accurately
  
  
  

Requirements

Education/Experience and Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance with
• Experience with CollaborateMD EMR and billing software programs
• 2 years in management experience
• Ability to read Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and insurance correspondence
• Willingness to submit to drug and background screenings
• 3 years’ experience in healthcare collections
• RCM experience preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent managerial and financial skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with strict adherence to deadlines and sense of urgency
• Ability to manage high-stress situations and ensure healthy relationships with clients
