What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Mechanic position at Exact Staff?
Our client is one of the top, long-running tire and auto repair providers in the United States. We are searching for a top-tier Auto Mechanic to join our client’s repair shop, located in the city of Chatsworth, CA.
This is a traditional mechanic position. You will be responsible for working with the team to perform mechanical repairs, which includes brakes, alignments, fluid exchanges, steering and suspension repair and even replacing various components, like belts and radiators.
You will also :
- Work with the service manager to identify the problems with the vehicle
- Help drive the vehicle from outside into the garage
- Open the hood and do a visual inspection of any other additional issues as needed
- Work with the inventory team to make sure all supplies are restocked
- Ensure all tools are placed in the right spots when your day ends
- Help perform tests on the car to make sure everything is working
- Other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, direct hire position, first shift, from 8 am to 4 : 30 pm.
