What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service / Order Entry Representative position at Exact Staff?
Our client is a major manufacturer and distributor of dog food and dog treats, working with some of the bigger brands throughout the USA. We are seeking a diligent and smart Customer Service / Order Entry Representative to join our client's office, located in the city of Oxnard., CA.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. First shift, from 8 am to 4 : 30 pm. Monday to Friday.
This position is a combination of customer service and order entry. You will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders, entering them into their system accurately, and working with delivery and logistics to ensure that the order is completed promptly.
You will also :
- Become a product expert in our client's services and provide cost-effective solutions to possible clients signing up for their logistics expertise
- Answer customer inquiries about the products and services provided
- Negotiate and enter customer RMAs, as well as other changes to the production schedule
- Handle any carrier issues that may occur
- Manage blanket purchase orders with the purchasing department
- Confirm the proof-of-delivery or delivery times and send those times to the client(s)
- Maintain the best available freight rates for all lanes with current and potential vendors and brokers
- Send weekly and monthly reports to management
- Measure performance utilizing data from the customer's KPIs and come up with solutions to improve performance metrics.
- Other duties as needed.
