What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator/Forklift Driver position at Exact Staff?
Our client is a major manufacturer and distributor of large cables that get installed in airplanes as well as elevator cables, and the necessary nuts and bolts that keep these in place. They are also a major supplier to one of the biggest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
We are searching for a smart and diligent Machine Operator and Sit-Down Forklift Driver to join our client’s main operation in Sumner, WA.
Hours : This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. The early morning shift is from 4 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m. Please keep in mind that you may be required to work Overtime as needed.
Job Details : This position is a combination of Machine Operation and utilizing a Sit-Down Forklift. You will :
- Dial buttons on the panel, operating the panel start-stop process
- Measure the metal part, and set the machine to cut to that length
- Confirm the orders that come in, get the measurements, directions, and instructions from the operations team
- Conduct inspections of the product after it’s finished fabricating
- Log the data into the system, and document everything accordingly
- When you are not working on the machine, you will be operating a Sit-Down Forklift, helping to move the products around.
The pay rate for this position is 21 per hour. However, if you do well after your first few weeks, the pay will increase to 23 / hour.
Lastly, if you finish all your work on time, you can leave early AND still get paid for the full 8 hours.
