CAD Drafter Intern – Residential Land Surveying Position Summary:
The CAD Drafter Intern, under the guidance of the Survey Drafting Manager, will support drafting tasks and related assignments for final Residential Survey Preparation, including Platted Subdivisions and Metes & Bounds legal descriptions. This role requires indoor work, involving both standing and sitting, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Monday through Friday at 1500 W 3rd St, MZ130, Cleveland, OH 44113 as scheduled by the supervisor.
Requirements
CAD Drafter Intern – Residential Land Surveying Position Responsibilities:
- Independently perform accurate survey calculations and drafting from field notes and records under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor.
- Prepare basic boundary surveys, location drawings, and residential survey mapping accurately and on time.
- Provide technical support to field survey crews, including point coordinate files, field calculations, and boundary resolutions.
- Follow Exacta’s policies, procedures, and work directives.
- Resolve internal and external customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Perform assigned duties safely and professionally to meet business needs.
CAD Drafter Intern – Residential Land Surveying Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma required; Associates / Technical Degree or higher preferred.
- 1 years of successful job-related land surveying drafting experience; Applied CAD experience.
- Proven and demonstrated professional skill sets to include, but not limited to CAD operations and survey experience.
- Able to communicate and respond to questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner ensuring business outcomes; assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player. Must have a relentlessly positive, flexible, do-whatever-it-takes attitude.
- Ability to balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job and exceed client expectations.
- Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud-based solutions.
