Our surveys provide an important component for development and real estate transactions involving buyers and sellers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, builders, developers, brokers, and real estate agents.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced surveying industry professional join our dedicated team of surveying experts in the role of Survey Estimating Manager. In this role you will be the primary owner of delivering quote estimates to clients in the state of Florida for commercial and larger acreage survey project scopes. This position will receive and respond to requests for quotes from clients, sales team, and escalations from the customer service group for complex surveying scopes above standard residential as-built surveys. This includes commercial, ALTA, larger acreage, layout, topographic for development, bulk order requests, and dividing or conjoining of parcels. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a motivation to directly communicate with clients on needs and understand the 'why' behind requests. They will combine client information with their surveying knowledge to provide timely, accurate, and insightful proposals to drive great client experience and dramatic profitable growth.

This is a remote position. Ideal candidate will be located in Florida. This position may require up to 10% travel to client offices or project sites within the state of Florida.

Client Segment

In this role, the Survey Estimating Manager will be supporting the residential and commercial client segments in the real estate, construction, and development sectors. This can include title offices, realtors, lenders, commercial brokers, home builders, contractors, developers, engineers, and any other buyer with a need for land survey services.

Requirements :

Survey Estimating Manager Responsibilities Include :

Responding and delivering to quotes in a timely manner to drive improved close ratios and dramatic profitable growth.

Communicating directly with clients to understand the underlying reason for the survey and provide scopes that best meet their needs.

Coordinating with internal teams to ensure scopes are within capabilities, and communicating scope requirements to internal team members.

Actively Expanding the playing field by focusing on getting to yes' for clients in a manner that is profitable and accurate.

Serving as a communication point-of-contact for quotes with more complex scopes where multiple stake-holders (internal and external) may be involved.

Serving as project contact for scopes that require multiple parties and coordination (internal and external) to be completed.

As needed on-site project meetings and in-person client interactions, depending on scope and project opportunity.

Utilizing SurveySTARS system to deliver and track quotes, following up as needed in support of the sales team to close wins and drive new business.

Reporting weekly on quotes KPIs and strategies to help drive new opportunities and increase win rates.

Survey Estimating Manager Qualifications & Skills :

10 years of survey, civil engineering, and / or development industry experience in roles responsible for scoping and project coordination in the state of Florida.

5 years of applicable industry experience in roles with direct client interaction and communication.

Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks at once and effective system usage to track quotes and projects.

Demonstrable technical hands-on aptitude with surveying and survey research applications to enable accurate scope assessments.

A strong aptitude to quickly diagnose needs and identify solutions.

Demonstrate strong growth and probing abilities to drill down to why'.

Effective verbal and written communication skills externally and internally.

Organized, detail-oriented with strong work ethic, desire to learn, and meet goals.
