What you will do:
- Interface with key stakeholders to deliver technical solutions across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Employ your proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and PL/pgSQL to enhance database functionalities and performance.
- Lead the design and implementation of database triggers and views to automate processes and optimize data retrieval.
- Ensure database health through comprehensive understanding and application of the PostgreSQL vacuum process.
- Manage large-scale database environments, focusing on performance tuning and scalability.
- Develop and implement robust database replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
What we are looking for
- Location: Must be within commuting distance of Austin, Texas, or be willing to relocate.
- Technical Proficiency: in SQL and PostgreSQL, with a strong grasp of PL/pgSQL for advanced database functionalities. Experience with MongoDB, Kafka data pipeline, and/or Node.js would also be a plus.
- Experience: in designing and implementing database triggers, developing and managing materialized and standard views for optimized data retrieval.
- In-depth Knowledge: of the PostgreSQL vacuum process to maintain database health.
- Proven Capability: in managing large-scale databases with a focus on performance tuning and scalability.
- Expertise: in database replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
