Director of Developer Relations

Position Overview

The Director of Developer Relations leads our strategic initiatives to build and nurture relationships with our game content partners, champion our technology platform, and pioneer AI-powered solutions that enhance the developer experience. This senior position combines traditional developer relations leadership with innovative AI implementation to scale our developer support and community engagement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Community Growth

• Define and execute developer relations strategy aligned with company objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with key technical partners and industry influencers
• Establish success metrics and KPIs for developer engagement initiatives

AI Innovation & Implementation

• Develop and deploy AI algorithms to automate feature improvements and issue resolution
• Evaluate AI system effectiveness and optimize performance based on developer feedback
• Lead cross-functional collaboration on AI integration into developer tools and workflows
• Stay current with AI industry developments and identify opportunities for implementation

Technical Leadership

• Drive the creation of technical content, including documentation, tutorials, and code samples
• Oversee developer education programs and technical workshops
• Guide the evolution of API documentation and development tools
• Provide strategic input on product roadmap based on developer community needs

Developer Experience (DX) Excellence

• Identify and prioritize improvements to developer experience
• Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline integration processes
• Guide the development of stand-alone tools and solutions
• Provide insights on API design and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in developer relations, technical advocacy, or related fields
• 5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams
• Strong programming background with hands-on development experience
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing AI solutions in developer tooling
• Track record of contributions to open source projects
• Background in API design and platform strategy
• Published technical content or thought leadership pieces
• Experience managing budgets and resources
