Description
To work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support production of prototypes, models, test specimens, test fixtures, custom implants and special instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support production of prototypes, models, test specimens, test fixtures, custom implants and special instruments and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Independently perform machining operations as instructed by Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers.
- Bead blast, polish and finish surgical instrumentation to meet required cosmetic criteria.
- Produce rapid prototypes in support of the E&D department.
- Provide ideas and feedback to Special Instrument / Custom Implant Team to improve / simplify manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Principle Designer, Designers and Engineers to support shop material and tool stocking requirements, organization and equipment maintenance.
- Document processing steps, as necessary, in a router.
- Know and apply the Quality System, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
- Assist and support other employees as necessary.
