Exalt Academy of Southwest Little Rock (EASW) is a dynamic open-enrollment public charter school that focuses on closing the achievement gap for underserved students in grades K-8 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our mission is to prepare students to excel in high school, college, and beyond by providing a high-quality education, ensuring mastery of the core subjects, and developing the key behaviors required for educational and personal success.

Job Description Summary:

Exalt Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced K-8 Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have proven classroom expertise, a deep understanding of content instruction, and a collaborative mindset to support our innovative academic model. As part of a team, the K-8 Teacher will implement our research-based educational design, delivering instruction with explicit instruction across multiple formats, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 levels of learning.

Qualified candidates must possess the following attributes:

  • A strong focus on data-driven decision-making, with comfort using frequent assessments to measure student learning.

  • Build strong relationships with families through parental involvement, and open communication.
  • Effectively manage time and workload.
  • Reflect on performance, share strengths and areas for growth, and continuously improve.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, valuing different perspectives and working closely together.
  • Take responsibility for student learning and achievement.
  • Believe all students can learn regardless of their current performance level.
  • Be open to frequent coaching, observation, and instructional modeling

Duties:

  • Be well prepared to deliver high quality engaging instruction with urgency.
  • Attend all mandated orientations, training sessions, and professional development programs.
  • Provide high-quality instruction for the assigned grade level throughout the 200-day school year.
  • Collaborate with parents through discussions and planning to support student learning and growth.
  • Engage in school initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and the advancement of the school’s mission.
  • Carry out teaching and/or managerial responsibilities as assigned by Leadership Team.

Education Requirements:

  • Appropriate Arkansas licensure and certification is preferred, not required.
  • 1-3 Years Classroom Teaching Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Teaching certification is preferred, not required

Technical Skills:

  • Adequate in using technology in education.
  • Skilled in analyzing student data to enhance instruction and improve programs.
  • Some familiarity with instructional technology equipment, software, hardware and networked systems preferable.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
