Key Responsibilities:
Case Manager:
- Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely progression of cases through both medical and legal processes.
- Acting as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and legal professionals.
- Track and document case progress, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Client Support:
- Provide compassionate and informed support to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of their medical and legal situations.
- Assist clients with obtaining medical records and coordinating with legal counsel.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate medical documentation.
- Coordinate with attorneys to gather necessary records and support litigation efforts.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare detailed case reports, summaries, and correspondence as required.
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal standards and confidentiality regulations.
- Maintain an organized and accessible case management system.
Advocacy:
- Identify and address any barriers to care that may impact case outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with changes in medical and legal regulations, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Relevant experience, certification, or licensure in case management, nursing, or legal assisting (e.g., CCM, RN, Paralegal Certificate).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare processes, and legal procedures related to personal injury, workers' compensation, and other relevant fields.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
