What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Operations Manager position at Examinetics Inc?

Purpose:

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the Field Technicians. The position promotes Examinetics core values with all teams, providing overall support, direction, and management to the assigned regional operation; provides direct oversite, supervision, and development of assigned field team; and acts as a role model, motivator, team leader, and culture builder.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to regional personnel which includes work allocation, training, employee performance, and driving quality and consistency. 
  • Mentor and support all regional staff.
  • Aides in the governance, guidance, and support of regional budgets.  
  • Drive regional productivity and cost control.
  • Monitor key metrics and provide guidance to operations management to achieve desired outcomes and results.
  • Proactively work with other departments to ensure that site and work order readiness is a top priority. 
  • Proactively perform on-site quality control checks and give feedback to team members of ways to improve techniques.   
  • Work with CSC’s & OHS’s to prepare for upcoming jobs, consisting of site checks, work order planning and reviews prior to appointment starts, and informing team members of any discrepancies that are found.
  • Guide and manage staff development.
  • Aide in the development of standards and proactively identifies training requirements for the OHS team.
  • Monitor progress of work orders with site leads and CSC’s to ensure that work orders are progressing according to schedule and agreed upon milestones.
  • Assist Scheduling, CSC’s, and Fleet Care Facility in resource planning and regional utilization of resources.
  • Ensure all assignments, task performance, and responsibilities are handled in a satisfactory and timely manner.
  • Develop regional subcontractor network. 
  • Manage and promote productive team communication to and from executive management, sales team, and all operational departments.
  • Seek out opportunities to support team members and strengthen cooperation between departments. 
  • Ensure compliance with company’s policies, making certain company operates in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Perform annual performance reviews.
  • Develop and drive a culture of performance management and accountability.
  • Provide on-call (24/7) support to staff with differentiating work shifts and time zones. 
  • Provide any other support to ensure Examinetics operates to standards on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

Education:      

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience may be substituted. College courses in general business, a plus.  

Experience:     

  • Three years’ experience in a managerial role, including a minimum of 1 year experience supervising off-site personnel.
  • Work experience in occupational health screening beneficial.
  • Work experience that requires extensive overnight travel beneficial.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:          

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. 
  • CAOCH and NIOSH certifications required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Valid DOT Medical card or able to obtain a DOT medical card prior to employment and able to maintain for the duration of employment.

Skills & Abilities:    

  • Ability to effectively serve as an ambassador of Examinetics, promoting the company and services offered.
  • Must consistently display professional attitude in a team environment. 
  • Adhere to client communication protocol. 
  • Support sales efforts when requested.
  • Must have appropriate finesse to effectively negotiate pricing of subcontractors.
  • Skilled and knowledgeable to develop and cultivate regional vendor relationships.
  • Must have capacity to collaborate with recruiting to work toward optimal staffing.
  • Must have excellent interviewing skills and techniques to effectively assess prospective candidates for the OHS role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill to serve as trainer/mentor to regional talent.
  • Capable of improving and developing process workflows, repeatable processes, and standards. 
  • Experience in performing site visits and productivity assessments as necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical, personnel, or other business-related issues.
  • Ability to supervise and manage task and personnel to achieve organizational objectives. 
  • Proficient in Occupational Health best practices.  
  • Ability to read and understand Drawings and Bill of Materials. 
  • Ability to understand and communicate work order requirements to others. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a 26 ft vehicle in a variety of weather conditions and to industrial areas of the country.
  • Must be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and capable of developing relationships.

Work Conditions and Considerations:

Physical Demands:     

Incumbent is required to sit for long period of time; stand; walk – around office environment; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; bend and stoop; talk and hear.  Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required include close-up vision, visual acuity for fine-print detail, extensive use of computers, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Operate computer, printer, projector, copier, fax machine, and telephone. 

Travel:       

Travel as necessary to support your regional team and Examinetics clients. This includes out of state and overnight with minimal to no notice. Must be able to travel via commercial airlines.
