NICET II Fire Alarm Technician Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, program, and service fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
• Perform inspections and testing in compliance with NFPA, IBC, and local codes.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure systems are installed and operating properly.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection and service reports.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide mentorship and training for junior technicians as needed.

Role Description

We are seeking a NICET Level II (minimum) Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, understanding programming, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and life safety systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and leadership as we develop our new division.

Salary $42.00 - $47.00 Based on prior Foreman or General Foreman experience

Required Qualifications

• NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Minimum required)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm installation, programming, and servicing
• Familiarity with NFPA 72, IBC, and local Fire Amendments
• Experience with leading fire alarm manufacturers equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Level III certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience with mass notification and voice evacuation systems
• Low-voltage electrical experience
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Must be able to work full-time and overtime if required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
