Job Summary :
Provides professional care for patients following established standards, practices and office policies. Checks patients in, verifies insurance, files, and answers phones. Works under the direct supervision of the physician and / or office supervisor.
Job duties include but are not limited to :
Answering multi-line telephones and directing calls to appropriate staff
Checking e-fax and forwarding to corresponding department
Insurance verification / Obtain authorizations for office visits
Scheduling / rescheduling appointments for established patients and hospital follow-ups
Completing patient consent forms-sending & reviewing
Communicate with patients via patient portal / email.
Check patient's in / out
Collect co-payments and account balances
Confirm patient appointments
Maintain the waiting lobby clean.
Requirements :
- Must have at least 2 year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Self motivated
- Willing to learn new procedures and advance knowledge
- Able to adapt to ongoing changes
- Able to multitask
- Dependable
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
