Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, ensuring on-time arrivals for medical appointments. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance efficiency in transportation processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule transportation of client medical appointment trips up to 48 hours in advance.
- Oversee progress of all trips and assure timely arrival by monitoring the route and status of customers, drivers and vehicles.
- Act decisively with a willingness to address problems and develop solutions, adjust driver trip schedules in real time as needed and make requests by communicating with necessary parties.
- Accept and decline trip offers in order to maximize revenue and schedule efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation coordination or logistics management is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on logistics metrics.
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
