What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Excel Academy?
Excel Academy in Irving is growing! We are looking to expand our team by adding passionate and experienced teachers in the Toddler, Three’s or School Age classroom.. We are also looking for a Rock Star Infant/Toddler Teacher.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Meet the expectations of offering a quality early childhood experience by exceeding minimum standards.
- Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children to thrive in.
- Create and implement curriculum for specified age groups that align with the latest brain research in the industry.
- Team player with the ability to be flexible.
- Establish genuine and exceptional relationships with families, children, and team members.
- Obtain required training per company and state mandates including training to be a back-up van driver if hired for a School-aged teacher. (part time or full time)
- Must be willing to work a mid-morning to evening shift (early shifts are possible if available).
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- CDA or Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aide Certification.
- Pass Criminal Background and FBI fingerprint screening.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a childcare provider preferred.
Candidates must have or be able to obtain prior to employment CPR and First Aid Certification, Pass an FBI fingerprint background check, but these can be fulfilled upon hire.
