Job Summary
As the Field Research Technician you will participate in various research activities as part of the Center for Structural Engineering Research and Pipeline Inspection.

Job Summary
As the Field Research Technician you will participate in various research activities as part of the Center for Structural Engineering Research and Pipeline Inspection.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Participate in field inspection activities for research projects.
- Maintain, repair, and set up instruments and equipment for research projects. Set up experiments and construct experimental apparatus. Interact with vendors and technical support of existing equipment.
- OSHA Confined Spaces training and certification.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school graduation with vocational training in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Electrical, mechanical, and construction experience is preferred. Any previous experience regarding:
- Field/site work related to pipeline inspections.
- Pipeline assessment and evaluation.
- OSHA courses, specifically confined space entry per OSHA course.
- Working in confined spaces per OSHA regulations.
- Reading GIS maps of pipelines.
- Skill in the use of standard shop machine tools and measuring tools.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software and internet browsers.
