Job Summary
Excel Driving School is growing and currently expanding our team. We are looking for enthusiastic Driver's Education Coaches for in-classroom instruction. Our ideal candidate must be available to work at minimum 12 hours per week, during the school year and weekends only. Summer hours would require a minimum of 35 to 40 hours. No industry experience is required. Must complete a certification course to obtain State Licensing. We will provide all the necessary training to help you obtain your Instructor's License to teach new drivers the fundamentals of responsible and safe driving. Successful candidates must also be comfortable with teaching in a classroom setting. Educate students on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and defensive driving techniques in a classroom environment.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, addressing their questions and concerns regarding driving techniques and safety.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance throughout the training program.
- Stay updated on state regulations and best practices in driver education to ensure compliance and enhance instructional methods.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills to facilitate effective learning experiences.
- Experience in adult education is a plus, as the role may involve teaching diverse age groups.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students of varying backgrounds and skill levels.

Saturday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Sunday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Sundays: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm

Applicant Requirements:
- Must be able to work the published classroom schedule
- Possess a High School diploma or GED, College Degree preferred
- A valid driver’s license for a minimum 10 years, with an excellent driving record.
- Strong and influential communication skills
- An encouraging and friendly attitude
- Patience and a calm demeanor
- Collaborative team player, flexible to assist in subbing in classroom instruction at neighboring locations.
- Must have home internet access and basic computer skills
- National fingerprint scan background check, DMV physical and drug testing required upon hire
