About the Role
Excel Group is looking for an experienced Warehouse worker to add to our growing team. If you are highly motivated, dependable, hardworking, an initiative-taker with a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our distribution center. You will ensure that shipments are accurately processed, loaded, and unloaded while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with various material handling equipment and possess strong mechanical knowledge.
Duties
- Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking orders, packing products, and labeling packages.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload products from trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through order picking and stock management.
- Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while performing duties in the distribution center.
Skills
- Proficient in operating forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing.
- Experience with order picking in a distribution center environment is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipments.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
- Regular hours are 7:00am- 3:00pm, 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm.
- Based out of Alpharetta, Georgia.
