Field Service Technician / Heavy Travel Required

Currently, we have a Field Service Technician job opportunity for our Manufacturing client, based in Golden, who specializes in providing stainless steel pipe and products for water infrastructure. This position requires extensive traveling, and this is a Direct Hire opportunity.

*****Due to the need to travel with limited notice, seeking a candidate who lives in Colorado, no more than 45 minutes away from the DIA airport. Travel will be required 90% of the time. May be onsite at the Golden location when needed, too. Travel is mostly in the USA, however some international travel could be required. A corporate credit card will be issued to be used for all travel expenses including airfare and car rental. You will be required to track and provide receipts for expenses on a regular basis.

Shift / Hours: Seeking flexibility - most hours will be day shift, but some emergency repairs could require evening/night shift hours. Typically, you will know your schedule on the Friday before the following work week, but it is often Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.

Pay Range: $27.00 to $35.00/hr, DOE

General Summary:

Services products and equipment as assigned for water / wastewater treatment facilities. Starts up, identifies, analyzes and repairs instruments and products at customer’s location. Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, installations, and modifications as needed or requested by customers. Performs training at customer site. Troubleshoots basic control circuits. Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility, performing preventative maintenance, site surveys start-ups and repairs, installations and modifications as needed or requested by customers. This includes all products used at a water or wastewater treatment facility from stainless steel fittings to control panels.
• Assumes responsibility for determining the best method to resolve problems encountered at the customer site and for accurately describing problems and communicating with the customers.
• Acts as a liaison between customer and Company providing feedback to Business Units.
• Provides trip reports in a timely manner and maintains records as required.
• Manages own travel arrangements to minimize costs.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or GED minimum.
• Must have thorough technical knowledge of general equipment inspection / repair.
• Seeking 'start up' (new machinery installation) and mechanic/maintenance experience in the hydro / water infrastructure industry.
• Experience with ISO9001 requirements desirable
• Minimum - 2 years technical training in area of specialty
• Minimum - 2 years field troubleshooting experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Knowledge of water infrastructure industry (clean water or wastewater)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read mechanical and technical drawings
• Ability to perform extensive manual labor
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 plus pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
