Summary
As a Parts Specialist at Excel Truck Center Inc, you will play a vital role in maintaining our shop performance by managing parts inventory and ensuring that all the needed parts are in stock and are well organized.
Responsibilities include ordering parts, checking-in received parts, delivering parts, and/or picking-up parts from suppliers/vendors, returning parts and ensuring all parts are tracked in our management system.
Responsibilities
The position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:
- Manage warehouse inventory and control movement of parts though our business management system.
- Create parts orders by phone or online, receiving the parts in out shop management system and pulling the needed parts from inventory and placing them on work orders.
- Cycle count inventory in our parts warehouse.
- Warehouse organization.
- Pull parts and fulfill work orders.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with their needs.
- Team player with high customer service focus.
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly and accurately.
- Manage and maintain inventory of truck and trailer parts to ensure availability for vehicle repairs.
- Coordinate with service teams to identify parts needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Utilize retail math to track inventory levels and forecast future needs effectively.
- Negotiate with suppliers/vendors to secure the best prices for parts without compromising quality.
- Assist in truck and trailer diagnostics by providing necessary parts information to technicians.
- Maintain organized records of parts orders, receipts, and inventory levels.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with vendors and service teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck and trailer service or parts management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes and requirements.
- Ability to utilize retail math for effective inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation skills to work with suppliers effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing stock levels.
- Effective communication skills, particularly phone etiquette, when interacting with vendors and team members.
- Experience in truck and trailer diagnostics will be considered a Huge plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
