Job Summary:
The Chief Human Resources Officer has overall responsibility for executing the people strategy for Independence Health System's 7200 employees.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy positioning IHS as the employer and healthcare provider of choice throughout the state.
- Provide strategic leadership to executive leadership on implementing and managing the people strategy, partnering with senior leaders to execute business strategies and optimize roles and responsibilities.
- Consult with leadership to understand talent strengths, gaps, and needs, and develop a workforce plan to drive employee engagement, retention, and performance.
- Oversee strategic total rewards planning, design, and implementation, ensuring competitive plans are developed and administered.
- Maintain a highly effective and productive employee and labor relations environment, effectively leading negotiations for local labor agreements.
- Promote team-based solutions, development, and empowerment, serving as a change agent and empowering teams, colleagues, and staff within and outside functional areas.
