Job Summary
Assumes administrative responsibility and authority for hospital services during tour of duty, with access to administrative on-call staff for direction / assistance with complex problems. Is responsible for coordinating and supervising activities of nursing personnel and for ensuring that appropriate staffing levels are maintained. The Supervisor Nursing guides personnel in the provision of quality patient care for all age groups and provides direct care as the need presents.

Maintains open communications with the medical staff and serves as a liaison to answer questions and resolve / address problems / issues.
Ensures that incident reports / SORs are initiated and provide adequate information related to unexpected outcomes.
Demonstrates knowledge of policies and regulations and oversees staff compliance.
Ensures the security and integrity of patient information.
