South Carolina Mobile Dental Centers, and its management company, ExcelHealth Group, LLC, is seeking to fill one exciting and fulfilling, entry-level position in Ohio. SCMDC is an Ohio based dental company providing comprehensive dental care for residents of long-term care facilities. Our services are delivered via state-of-the-art mobile dental clinics which arrive onsite each day at a different nursing home.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in both the dental and long-term care industries. Each mobile clinic provides a small, inviting environment creating a safe space to deliver great care and on-the-job training experience.
Travel Frequency: Four (4) to five (5) days per week throughout the state
Traveling Team: The traveling clinic staff includes a clinic manager, dental assistant, and patient transporter.
Transportation: The clinic staff typically meets at a local designated location and travel together in a company vehicle as a team of three. The dentist generally arrives separately.
Overnight Stays: Over night stays 2-3 nights a week possible.
Requirements:
- Primary responsibility is transporting residents in wheelchairs or geriatric chairs to and from the nursing facility to the dental clinic which is typically parked outside of the facility in the parking lot.
- A desire to work with nursing home residents.
- Demonstrating a concern for the patient’s well-being and an understanding of cultural sensitivity.
- Willingness and ability to communicate with facility staff and elderly patients clearly and respectfully.
- Assisting with clinic maintenance, cleaning, and sterilizing procedures.
- Safely transporting patients in a wheelchair or similar device of varying heights, weights and sizes. This position also involves safely navigating a ramp on both an incline and decline.
- Must be punctual and attentive to schedules and procedures.
- Must be flexible with schedule.
- Hepatitis B vaccination.
- Reliable transportation to and from launch locations.
- This position requires, reaching, lifting, and pushing.
Compensation:
- When traveling with the team, transportation, overnight hotel, and meals directly tied to an overnight stay are covered at the company's expense.
- Windshield/traveling time is paid at same hourly wage.
- PTO and paid holidays available after 90 days
- FLSA status - non-exempt, hourly
Employment Contingencies:
All employees who have direct patient access are subject to a background check and drug screening. Unacceptable results will exclude an applicant from employment.
