Key Responsibilities
Execute and self-manage data science projects from start to finish (i.e., from discovering use cases to deploying production solutions).
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business questions into data-driven solutions that show tangible value and improve business operations.
Prepare and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that help business leaders make impactful data-driven decisions.
Develop high-quality data products and analytical solutions that promote responsible data science (AI / ML) by emphasizing best practices in data governance and model development.
Create data visualizations and interactive dashboards to explain results and deliver actionable insights.
Communicate and present results and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning methodologies.
Collaborate with internal team members to increase our collective knowledge and help develop and socialize industry and internal best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or a related field (e.g., economics, statistics, or other relevant STEM fields).
2 years of proven work experience in data science, analytics, or related field(s).
Proficiency in programming languages, preferably SQL and Python.
Strong experience with relational databases and non-relational databases (e.g., noSQL, graphs, documents, etc.).
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, matplotlib, etc.).
Working knowledge of data / software project management (e.g., Agile, CRISP-DM, Jira, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., Azure, Google, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
Experience with analytical platforms (e.g., Dataiku, Alteryx, JMP, etc.).
Familiarity with various ML techniques (classification, clustering, time-series analysis, deep learning, etc.).
Excellent critical thinking skills to problem solve and justify decision making.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences, including technical experts and non-technical business leaders.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a hybrid / remote environment.
Preferred Experience
Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) in Computer Science or related STEM field.
Prior experience in a consulting role or managing data and analytics projects and / or teams.
Strong experience in cloud platforms using Snowflake and / or Databricks.
Strong experience with Dataiku and / or Power BI.
Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models (API endpoints, data drift, etc.).
Interest and / or experience in Generative AI tools and approaches.
