e are seeking an experienced Controls Technician with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) expertise to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure the proper operation and optimization of control systems, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain PLC-based control systems for automated machinery and equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls.
- Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs to ensure system efficiency and performance.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on control systems, ensuring operational reliability and safety.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system upgrades and process improvements.
- Monitor, calibrate, and test control system components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide technical support to production teams for control system-related issues and ensure minimal downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, upgrades, and service schedules for control systems.
- Participate in training programs and safety initiatives to stay current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a Controls Technician, with a strong focus on PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI systems.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, electrical circuits, sensors, actuators, and automation equipment.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and network communication protocols.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control system failures in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
