Job Description
Our client has a new opportunity for a qualified Level 2 Smart Hands Technician to join their team onsite in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate is familiar with network appliances and servers to assist in trouble shooting.
Scope of Activity and Responsibilities:
- Provide smart hands support for audio conference equipment
- Provide smart hands support for IT infrastructure (servers and network devices)
- Provide smart hands support for infrastructure components like server, storage, and network switches, dispatch to a customer location
- Provide audio conference support for audio conference devices through Original Equipment Manufacturer ("OEM ) coordination through client, and providing hands and feet support during troubleshooting
- Contact the resolver group via phone / agreed communication method to schedule the smart hands support activity or follow a preapproved / pre-communicated schedule for such operation
- Perform diagnostic support with support from the Requester group
- Assist with moving or securing network cables
- Perform network router and switch configuration, and server refreshes and reboots
- Perform hardware and software replacement or installation, Power cycling, Inventory management and labeling
- Handle shipping and receiving requests
- Report on equipment performance, and audits
- Update and close ticket in pertinent ITSM system with relevant details
