JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist with a strong focus on recruitment to join our team. In this role, you will manage and execute the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring the organization attracts and hires top talent. You will work closely with the HR Director and hiring managers to identify staffing needs, post job openings, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and manage the onboarding process. In addition to recruitment, you will support various HR functions, including assistance with payroll, maintain employee files, employee benefits, and compliance, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in HR, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices, including labor laws and employment regulations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the recruitment process from sourcing candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, and making offers.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate in-person or virtual interviews.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Oversee the candidate experience, ensuring a positive and professional process from initial contact through onboarding.
Employee Onboarding:
- Coordinate and execute new hire orientation sessions and ensure all necessary documentation is completed for new employees.
- Ensure that new employees are introduced to the company culture and have the resources they need to be successful.
Compliance & Record Keeping:
- Ensure recruitment and hiring practices comply with labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
HR Administration & Reporting:
- Assist with weekly payroll processing.
- Assist with general HR administrative tasks, including preparing HR reports, tracking metrics, and maintaining accurate data.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and ensure deductions are accurate within payroll system.
COMPETENCIES:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Proficient in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent. Ability to design and implement effective recruitment strategies. Knowledge of various recruitment tools, such as job boards, social media, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with payroll software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and HR information systems (HRIS). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to adapt to new technologies that enhance the recruiting and HR functions.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in processing payroll and entering and maintaining employee data.
Administration: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time to meet deadlines, ensuring that all work is completed on timely and accurately documented.
Confidentiality & Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism when interacting with candidates and employees.
