Summary:
Excell Refrigeration is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Specialist to manage the procurement of parts and materials necessary to support our day-to-day operations. This position plays a key role in negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely deliveries to support our technicians and maintain service excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work closely with our warehouse and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Procurement and Supplier Management:
- Manage the procurement of parts and materials needed for service calls.
- Negotiate pricing and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager and invoicing team to close open POs and process new orders as needed.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts to maintain adequate stock.
- Perform semi-annual inventory checks (minimum of two times per year) in coordination with warehouse manager and tech supervisors.
- Work with warehouse staff to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
- Parts Room Organization:
- Assist with the initial setup and ongoing organization of the parts room, including labeling, binning, and distribution of parts.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area in compliance with company safety policies.
- Support for Technicians and Service Calls:
- Help technicians purchase parts locally that are not stocked on Excell vehicles.
- Assist with timely fulfillment of parts orders to ensure first-trip service calls and prevent delays.
- Assist with parts transfers to techs and construction jobs as necessary.
- Collaborative Support:
- Work closely with the warehouse manager to handle reclaimed materials, including gas from construction jobs, and ensure they are documented correctly in the system.
- Coordinate with the parts driver to ensure parts are prepared for on-call technicians at the start of each week (Thursday for on-call techs, Monday for south team, Tuesday for north team, and Wednesday for SCC team).
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Document necessary reports for retro completion and file Verisae and SSF.
- Work with warehouse staff to process POFs from technicians, assist in parts ordering or updates, and manage new call actions as needed.

Education and Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management or purchasing.
· Clean driving record.
· Must be eligible to work in the United States.
· Experience in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work well with warehouse, tech, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
