Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Refrigeration Insulators, specializing in the installation, replacement, and maintenance of refrigeration insulation systems for commercial and industrial applications. No prior experience? No problem—we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed in this role. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
Travel is required for this role (no weekends). We provide paid travel time, hotel accommodation and a daily food stipend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Replacement: Measure, cut and install insulation materials on refrigeration systems, including pipes, ducts and equipment.
- Material Selection: Work with a variety of insulation materials such as fiberglass, elastomeric foam and cellular glass based on project specifications.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning and applying protective coatings as needed before insulation application.
- Sealing & Finishing: Secure insulation with adhesives, tapes, or fasteners and ensure all seams are properly sealed for maximum efficiency.
- Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and perform necessary maintenance or repairs to insulation systems.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all OSHA regulations, safety protocols and company guidelines while working on job sites.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed and any issues encountered.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: No prior experience required—we offer on-the-job training. Previous experience in insulation, refrigeration, HVAC or construction is a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and safety procedures (training provided).
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces and operate tools required for insulation application.
- Certifications: OSHA 10/30, EPA or other relevant certifications are a plus but not required—we’ll support your certification process if needed.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License: Required for travel to job sites as needed.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel as needed. We pay for travel time, hotel accommodations and provide a daily food stipend.
